Curriculum @ La Salle Academy

La Salle Academy meets its commitment to ensuring that all students meet the core requirements of the NSW Education Standards Authority.  All students are provided with the necessary teaching direction and support to achieve in the core subjects of Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, History/Geography and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.  By the end of Year 8, all students would have tried a number of different elective subjects positioning them well for their elective choices moving into Stage 5.

In Stage 5, students have the opportunity to engage in a number of different electives and extra curricular activities that will assist them in determining their senior schooling options and post schooling pathways.  In 2023, La Salle Academy has introduced the 'Successful Pathways Plan' which will assist families in determining the best pathway for their child.  This plan is formed in collaboration and consultation with the students and their families.  The three pathways that are promoted at La Salle Academy are:

Future Study Pathway (ATAR Focused; University/TAFE entry)

Future Trade Pathway (School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship with an aim to complete the HSC)

Future Work Pathway (Work Readiness Subjects and Activities)

Our Stage 6 curriculum offerings ensure that the school meets the needs of our students and that they are supported on their pathway of choice.  La Salle Academy is able to support students throughout their entire schooling journey from Year 7 through to Year 12.
